No backing, which allows it to stretch and thicker than Hobby Lobby fabric. That’s where I use to get mine from, but switched to this. Thank you, I really appreciate that man 🤙🏽 We always try and give our customers their moneys worth. I use mdf for ease of sanding, has less of a porous surface (smoother) and flexibility or being slightly more bendable. I started off building enclosures using particle board back when I was in HS (90s) *I actually built my personal box using particle board… 2-15” CVX kickers. Showing folks it can still be done in 2024 😀 instagram.com/reel/ColpAtVj8sP/?igsh=MWIxcXIzaXQydXdzOQ== …And yes I agree a dado groove has proven to be much stronger, which I also learned from my shop teacher. And particle is a heavier material. But properly placed bracing makes up for all of that. And like you mentioned…those are things “you” prefer to use when building. There’s nothing wrong with either in my opinion. As long as the finished product is a good solid enclosure. Everyone has their own preference or technique…this just happens to be mine 🤙🏽 So I hope I’ve answered all your questions. Feel free to checkout my other vids too and thanks again.
